How do you mount the LED license plate lights on a Toyota Yaris Cross?

Installing LED lights on your car's license plate is a fairly simple operation. Start by turning off the car and make sure the lights are off. Open the trunk and look for the bulb holders above the license plate. Carefully, detach the bulb holder by rotating it or using a small screwdriver. Remove the halogen bulb and insert the LED one, paying attention to the polarity: if it doesn't light up, try turning it 180°. Reassemble everything following the steps in reverse and turn on the lights to check if they work. If everything is fine, you're done. Alternatively, contact a trusted mechanic if you don't feel comfortable doing it all by yourself.
