The replacement of the cabin air filter in a 2005 Toyota Yaris is a simple and quick task that can be done independently. After getting into the vehicle, we open the glove compartment on the passenger side and press on the sides to release it. We remove the clips on the filter cover and then take out the filter. We clean the filter housing and insert the new filter; then we close the cover and reassemble the glove compartment. After replacing the filter, we start the vehicle to test its operation. If the filter warning light comes on, it may be necessary to replace it again, possibly because the filter was not installed correctly.
