This video explains how the stability control system works in a Toyota vehicle, in this case a Rav-4: it is a safety system that works with the driver, helping to prevent the vehicle from losing its trajectory in curves or on low-traction surfaces by applying selective brake pressure to the wheels in order to maintain the desired direction. The system is always active; it can only be deactivated using a command located on the top of the dashboard, on the right side of the clock; pressing it once will deactivate only the traction control (TRC), while pressing it for three seconds will completely deactivate the system, including both the TRC and the VSC (stability control). But as the YouTuber tells us: why would we need to turn it off? Let’s remember that when we restart the vehicle, both systems will automatically reactivate.
