How to Program a Toyota Remote

To complete the programming operation, a working master key is required. Keep the driver's door open: insert and remove the master key twice in the ignition, close and open the driver's door twice. Insert and remove the master key once, close and open the driver's door for another two times: insert the master key and leave it in the ignition, then close the door. Now turn the key to ON and then OFF. Remove the key. At this point, the car is in programming mode (it should have emitted a beep or have flashing lights). Press "lock" and "unlock" on the new remote simultaneously for a couple of seconds (it may take 2/3 attempts). When successful, you will hear a "click" and see the lights flashing. Hold "unlock" to confirm.
