The button cell battery is a CR2032, which can be easily found at a supermarket or electronics store for a few pounds. First, remove the emergency key from the key fob, revealing a slot in the body of the remote; insert the tip of a screwdriver into this slot to split it in half. Remove the old battery from its compartment, insert the new one while paying attention to the polarity, close the remote, and reinsert the mechanical key into its housing. This operation should be done with dry and clean hands, and do not forget that the used battery must be disposed of at a recycling point or returned to an electronics store.
