How to Reset the Radar of the Corolla Hybrid

Model: Toyota Corolla MK 5, E210 - Years 2019-2026

Resetting the radar (for the pre-collision system or adaptive cruise control) may be necessary after replacing the windscreen or the battery, or if specific errors appear. The automatic reset is performed by turning off the engine, opening and closing the door, and waiting 10 minutes to restart the system. Then drive for 20 minutes on roads with clearly visible lane markings. If this does not work, park in a flat, clear area: clean the radar, located behind the Toyota logo on the bumper, or in the windscreen near the rear-view mirror. Then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Otherwise, a recalibration with OBD2 and software like Techstream, LaunchX431, or Autel MaxiSys is required. Final check: the fuse for the PCS system; also check that the radar is not damaged, in which case only a Toyota workshop can assist.
