Toyota Yaris Cross: How to Restart a Frozen Screen

The video shows how to perform a soft reset (forced restart) of the multimedia screen on the Toyota Yaris Cross, useful when the infotainment system has issues with Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connection, or other freezes. The procedure is simple: with the car on, press and hold the Power/Volume button next to the screen until the display goes completely black.

At that point, release the button and wait a few seconds: the Toyota logo will appear, remaining visible for a few seconds while the system completes the restart. Finally, the screen will display the message "Checking USB device, please wait" and the system will return to operation.

This operation is a simple restart and does not delete personal data (Bluetooth, destinations, preferences remain). For a true factory reset, which deletes everything, you need to access the Settings menu.
