Replacing the Rear Headlamp Bulb

Model: Toyota Prius MK 1 - Years 2004-2009

To replace the bulb, you only need a screwdriver and a ratchet. To replace the bulb, you must disassemble the entire lamp assembly. The screws are accessible under the soundproof cover of the boot near the headlamp. After removing the two screws with the ratchet, take out the headlamp by first disconnecting the connector. Once the headlamp is removed, unscrew the screws to access the bulb holders. Carefully remove the cover and replace the faulty bulb by pressing it slightly and turning it counterclockwise until it releases. Refit the new bulb, ensuring it has the same specifications. Reassemble the screws of the bulb holders and reposition the headlamp assembly in its housing, reconnecting the relevant connector. Carefully tighten the screws.
