Replacing the Remote Battery on a Toyota RAV4

Is the remote battery on your RAV4 dead? Here’s how to disassemble the remote and change it. Take the key fob and use a screwdriver to pry apart the two covers of the key. Once the covers are separated, extract the battery holder from inside the plastic. Open the battery holder with a screwdriver and remove the battery. Install the new battery (same size and voltage) inside the battery holder; insert the holder back into the covers and close the two covers. Check if the remote works. Press the lock buttons.
