Is the gear knob on your Toyota RAV 4 damaged? Here’s how to replace it inside the car. Take the knob in your hands and turn it to the left until you remove it from the gear stick (unscrew the knob). If you can’t unscrew it, use a suitable pair of pliers. For reassembly, take the new knob and fit it onto the shaft in the centre console and screw it in. Install the new leather gaiter if damaged. Test the movement of the shaft in the centre console to ensure the knob is correctly fitted. If the knob moves, tighten it better on the shaft.
