Replacing the Remote Battery in a Toyota Yaris

In this video tutorial, you will learn how to disassemble and replace the battery in the remote of a Toyota Yaris. First, release the key by pressing the button and removing it from the remote. Using a screwdriver, pry open the seam to split the remote in two. At this point, remove the cap by disengaging it, and underneath you will find the battery: extract it by prying and replace it with a new one, securing one side first and then pushing down. Refit the cap and snap the two parts of the remote back together, inserting the key last!
