How to Replace the Remote Battery on a Toyota Auris

If the red LED on your Toyota Auris remote no longer lights up, it's likely time to replace the battery. Follow these simple steps. First, obtain a replacement battery with code 2032. Press the button on the side of the remote to extract the metal key and use it to unclip the casing (alternatively, you can use a flathead screwdriver). Remove the plastic cover over the battery and press on the edge of the battery to release it. Now insert the new battery, reassemble the plastic cover, and clip the casing back together by pressing evenly. Finally, reinsert the metal key by pressing the side button on the remote again. Check that the red LED lights up and that the remote controls function correctly.
