Replacing the Timing Belt on a Toyota Rav 4

Learn how to replace the timing belt on a Toyota Rav 4. First, lift the front bonnet of the car, then remove the various covers on the left side. Raise the car with a jack and remove the right wheel and the splash guard. Remove the cover of the mechanical parts. Loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Using a socket, unscrew the tensioner pulley bolt and remove the water pump. Fit the new water pump, the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket. Refit the splash guard, the wheel, and all protective covers.
