How to Install a Kick Plate on the Toyota Fortuner

Model: Toyota Fortuner An160 - Years 2015-2024

If you want to protect your car's floor mats from wear, you can install a kick plate (aftermarket product). First, open the driver's side door and remove the floor mat. Then take the metal plate and position it to fit. After that, remove the protective plastic film. Install the four locking screws for the plate, pre-drilling the floor mat, and then secure the nut on the back of the mat to lock the plate in place. Repeat this process for all four screws. Finally, take the floor mat and put it back in the car.
