How to Replace the Battery in a Toyota Yaris Hybrid

This guide will show you the procedure for replacing the service battery in a Toyota Yaris Hybrid. It is advisable to follow this procedure only if the instrument panel shows no signs of life upon ignition or if flickering or graphical artifacts occur on the dashboard interface. To proceed, follow these steps: 1. Unscrew the clips located on the right rear seat; 2. Slightly lift the seat and push the battery housing underneath to extract the battery; 3. Unclip the red cover that is inserted; 4. Unscrew the positive terminal and then the negative terminal using a size 10 screwdriver; 5. Remove the terminals; 6. Slide out the old battery and replace it with the new one, reversing the procedure and ensuring to align the battery housing holes while being careful not to strip the screws. Once the procedure is complete, turn on the instrument panel to verify that everything has been done correctly.
