Replacing the Speakers in a Toyota Highlander

Today we will see how to replace the speakers in the audio system of a Toyota Highlander. First, detach the protective grille using a trim tool, being careful not to damage the clips. Once the grille is removed, unscrew the 2 screws that secure the speaker housing to the dashboard. If the new speakers have spade connectors, you will need to cut the original connectors. Now, after stripping the 2 wires, obtain a cable that ends with female spade connectors. Connect the wires with appropriate connectors and using a crimping tool, connect the female spade connectors to the male ones of the new speakers. Now place the speakers in their slots and screw in the 2 securing screws. Finally, insert the corresponding grille. Repeat the operation for the other speaker. Now turn on the car radio and test the result of your work.
