Replacing the Coolant in a Toyota 4Runner.

Before proceeding with the coolant replacement in the Toyota 4Runner, secure the vehicle on a lift or a flat surface, ensuring it is immobilized. This is to guarantee the safety of the operator. This precaution should be taken whenever performing maintenance on a vehicle. At this point, open the cap of the coolant reservoir in the radiator. At the bottom of the radiator, on the left, attach a small hose to a drain valve; when you open the valve, the coolant will flow through the hose. Place the hose into a container to drain the old coolant. Now, after reconnecting the hose to the radiator, pour distilled water and new coolant in the quantities specified in the vehicle manual into the reservoir and replace the cap.
