As seen in this tutorial, topping off the coolant in a Toyota 4Runner is an extremely simple task. Before proceeding, ensure the engine is completely cool, as any spillage of hot liquid can be very dangerous.

Once verified, open the hood and locate the coolant expansion tank, located at the front of the engine bay. Next, remove the large upper cap, insert a funnel into the opening, and add the necessary amount of coolant to reach the line located about halfway up the tank.
