Positioning Vehicle on Axle Stands

If you need to position the vehicle on axle stands, first check the load capacity of the stands to ensure they can support the weight of the vehicle. At this point, if you need to place the stand at the rear, make sure to engage first gear before lifting the vehicle to prevent it from moving during the lift; then place a jack under one of the reinforced ribs located under the sill, lift the vehicle high enough to position the stand under a rib, and slowly lower the jack until the vehicle rests on the stand.
