To replace the battery of the Toyota Prius Hybrid, remove the rivets securing the carpet on the boot floor. Once the carpet is removed, you will have access to the underlying components: you will need to remove the spare wheel from its location, and by folding down the rear seats, you can loosen the bolts at their base. This will give access to the battery cover, which can be removed by loosening its screws, allowing you to extract the battery from its housing and replace it with a new part.
