How to Change the Battery on the Toyota Etios

Follow this procedure to replace the battery on the vehicle: start by opening the hood; the battery is located on the left side. First, disconnect the negative terminal, then disconnect the positive terminal. Use a 10 mm wrench to remove the two bolts securing the upper bracket that holds the battery in place. Remove the metal upper bracket and take out the battery. Check the type of battery and replace it with one of equal power and specifications. Finally, position the new battery, reattach the upper bracket, and reconnect the terminals (positive first, then negative).
