The sequence of operations is as follows: with the door open, insert the key into the ignition 2 consecutive times, close the door 2 consecutive times, insert the key 1 time, close the door 2 consecutive times, insert the key, close the door, turn on the instrument panel, turn it off, and remove the key. At this point, press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the new remote, then press only the lock button.
