Replacement of the Suspension Wishbone

Model: Toyota Prius Xw30, MK 2 - Years 2009-2015

In case of failure of the ball joint or one of the bushes of the suspension wishbone, you can opt to purchase a repair kit or the entire wishbone. In any case, it will be necessary to disassemble the wishbone. Lift the vehicle on the ramp and remove the front wheel. Extract the safety pin that secures the nut fastening the ball joint to the hub support and unscrew the nut. Then, use a lever to extract the ball joint from its seat. Next, unscrew the fastening bolts of the wishbone to the engine cradle to complete the disassembly and proceed in reverse for the installation of the new one.
