To reset the ECU on a Toyota, connect pin 4 to pin 13 on the vehicle's OBD connector: this is located at the lower left of the dashboard relative to the steering column. Next, insert the ignition key and turn it to the 'on' position, waiting for about 30 minutes; after this time has passed, you can disconnect the cables and then turn off the instrument panel. Once the panel is turned on again, you can verify that the ECU reset has been completed successfully.
