In this tutorial, you will learn how to reset the ECU on a Toyota Vios, a very simple operation that can be performed as a troubleshooting attempt for an electronic malfunction. First, open the bonnet, then disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, wait for about 5 minutes, and reconnect it. Next, go inside the cabin, turn on the instrument panel, wait for 2 minutes, and while pressing the accelerator pedal, turn off the ignition. At this point, wait another 60 seconds with the pedal still pressed, release it, and check that the operation was successful by starting the engine.
