How to Clear the "Maint Reqd" Message on a Toyota

If the dashboard of your Toyota displays the unsettling message "MAINT REQD", it is simply the abbreviation for "Maintenance Required". After completing the scheduled services, follow these steps to turn off the light: insert the key into the ignition and turn it on without starting the engine. Ensure the odometer is set to total mileage, then press and hold the odometer button. Now turn the key to the off position, then turn it back on. Continue to hold the odometer button until the maintenance light turns off. That's it.
