To replace the gear knob on a Toyota RAV 4, lower the leather gaiter completely located under the knob: once the leather covering is lowered, you can locate the clip at the back of the lever. By detaching this clip, you can free the knob from the top of the lever so that it can be replaced with a new spare part. After the replacement, reinsert the rear clip and then cover everything with the appropriate leather gaiter.
