To replace the battery in a 2006 Toyota RAV4, open the front bonnet and remove the bracket using a combination spanner. Next, proceed to remove the battery.

First, disconnect the negative terminal using a 13 mm spanner, then disconnect the positive terminal. To disconnect the positive terminal, first lift the red plastic cover.

Remove the battery from its housing and clean the inside of the terminals from oxidation using sandpaper. Now, insert the new battery, connect the positive terminal first and close the red cover, then connect the negative terminal.

Finally, refit the bracket.
