What is the reason for oil level being too high?

For what reason has the oil level of our engine suddenly increased - maybe we recently had it serviced? Most likely we have a diesel car with a DPF filter, and we use the car a lot in the city, so the fault lies with the missed regenerations, which contaminate the oil. Because we travel in the city and make short trips that do not allow the DPF to regenerate, the post-injections remain in the combustion chamber, and the diesel fuel that is retained in them slowly seeps into the sump and dilutes the oil, which loses some of its lubricating properties. So, generally, a diesel car for those who travel a lot in the city is not suitable - and we shouldn't have even bought it - but now that the problem is done, we must be very careful with maintenance and make frequent oil changes.
