In this video, learn how glow plugs work in diesel engines: at the end of the component, there is an electrode that reaches a temperature of 850/900°C, while at the other end, there is the power wiring. The glow plug in the video operates at 11 Volts, but there are others that work at 4.5 Volts, depending on how the system is designed.

A practical test is conducted with a 12 Volt battery, and within a couple of seconds, the glow plug becomes incandescent; subsequently, the engine starts, with the injector spraying fuel over the glow plug, generating an explosion.
