A question that an entrepreneur often asks themselves is whether it is convenient to register a suitable vehicle as a truck. However, we must consider that the use of the vehicle will be greatly limited, because article 54 of the Highway Code tells us that a truck is a vehicle intended for the transport of goods or persons employed for that purpose. It is therefore a vehicle mainly intended for the transport of goods with a maximum weight not exceeding 3.5 tonnes. It can be registered to both companies and individuals, but the mode of operation does not change; the transport of people is not prohibited but is strongly limited: we can transport our employees, our partners, our collaborators, but not our family to the beach on Sundays, and not even our children to school. There is also the possibility of having the registration certificate withdrawn for a period ranging from 1 to 6 months, which doubles in case of repeat offenses.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
