This video tutorial shows how to safely remove the cap of the seat belt pretensioner sensor. The video demonstrates both the correct and incorrect way to remove the cap, in order to not damage the cap or the socket, as this could cause error codes on the computer of our car. It also shows four typical styles of seat belt sensor caps, found in American, Asian, and European cars. In the first type, you simply insert a small screwdriver into the recess; in the second and third types, the same method can be used, while in the fourth type, leverage is needed. When they are inserted in the belt, they should not be forcefully pulled out, as this will damage the internal pins and result in an error code for an open circuit; the correct way is always to gently leverage, without forcing it and finding a small recess. These are just four examples: There are many others, but the methods are essentially always the same.
