How is an alternator internally composed

In this interesting video we can see the internal components of an alternator, under the plastic cover: the stator is the fixed part of the alternator, consisting of a hollow cylinder in which the rotor rotates. The stator contains the windings where the electric current is introduced. The rotor is the moving part of the alternator, connected to the engine via a belt: it generates a magnetic field, necessary to induce the current in the stator. The diodes are electronic components that convert the alternating current produced by the alternator into direct current, necessary to charge the battery and power the vehicle's electrical systems; the voltage regulator controls the output voltage of the alternator, keeping it within the correct values (for the battery and electrical systems). The bearings allow the rotor to rotate freely inside the stator, reducing friction and ensuring smooth operation. The pulley transmits the engine's movement to the alternator via the belt, while the fan functions to cool the alternator during operation, preventing overheating.
