Is it possible to drift with an electronic handbrake?

In response to the question of whether it is possible to drift (that is, the driving technique where the driver intentionally causes a loss of traction in the rear wheels, making the car slide in a controlled manner during a turn) with cars that have an electronic handbrake, the answer is "no." The electronic handbrake is designed for parking: for starters, it is not modifiable and locks the wheels in an ON/OFF mode; therefore, without control over the pressure, it is practically impossible to modulate the locking to control the drift angle. Additionally, many cars also have stability systems that automatically reduce power or brake the wheels to correct the drift. Not to mention that using the electronic brake while in motion stresses the electric motors, posing a high risk of overheating and failure. There are vehicles like the BMW M that have a "Drift mode," with the EPB calibrated to withstand brief interventions, but these are exceptions, and it is still an electronic, "fake" system.
