How to Fix Windscreen Washers That Spray Little

To fix the nozzles that spray little, the first step is to check that there is enough properly diluted fluid (50% demineralised water, 50% detergent) in the reservoir. If the fluid is old or too thick, replace it. Next, check the nozzles. Use a syringe needle or a pin to gently unclog the nozzles; do not force it! You could worsen the spray. Another method is to soak a cotton ball in white vinegar and apply it to the nozzles to dissolve limescale deposits. Let it sit for 10 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with water. Another method is using an air compressor: disconnect the washer hose and blow with compressed air to remove blockages. Then check the hoses, as shown in the video, disconnect the hoses and ensure the fluid flows well. Adjust the direction of the nozzles using a pin to reorient the spray: gently press the nozzle in the desired direction and then test the spray. If the problem persists, the nozzles can be replaced at a low cost. If the nozzles do not spray at all, the pump may be faulty (located near the reservoir): the symptom is the absence of noise when activated.
