How to Change the Oil on an Aixam

On the Aixam City, the oil change should be performed with the engine warm to facilitate draining. Place the Aixam City on a flat surface, lift the rear safely if necessary, and open the engine compartment. Position a container under the drain plug of the sump, carefully unscrew it, and allow the used oil to drain completely. Replace the washer on the plug and screw it back in, tightening to the manufacturer's specifications. If your Aixam City also requires an oil filter change, unscrew the filter, lightly lubricate the seal of the new one, and install it manually until it is seated, then tighten as per instructions (usually a fraction of a turn after contact). Proceed to fill from the top cap using oil with the viscosity and specification indicated in the manual; pour gradually, wait a few seconds, and check the level with the dipstick until it reaches the correct mark. Start the engine for a few seconds to fill the circuit, then switch off and recheck the level, topping up if necessary. Finish by checking for any leaks and disposing of the used oil at an authorised centre.
