How do you open the front bonnet of the car? Open the driver's side door and see how to open the front bonnet. Unlock the release lever, then lift the bonnet slightly and move the release lever to the right or left. Once the bonnet is unlocked, lift it upwards and secure it with the prop rod. Now that the bonnet is open, you can perform maintenance and checks. To close the bonnet, simply remove the prop rod and let it drop (from a low height). Ensure the front bonnet is closed properly.
