How to Open Your Car's Bonnet?

This video shows the correct procedure to follow for opening your car's bonnet when you need to perform checks and/or maintenance. Cars have two bonnet locking systems: one is the internal release inside the vehicle, and the other is a release on the lower edge of the bonnet. First, locate the internal release lever, which is at knee height under the steering wheel. Pull the lever to release the first lock of the bonnet. Moving outside, locate the second release lever under the bonnet. Press it to lift the bonnet. The bonnet can stay open by itself thanks to hydraulic struts, or you may need to hold it up with the prop rod.
