How to Remove a Starter Cylinder

In this guide, you will learn how to remove a starter cylinder. Start by removing the screws securing the lower cover of the steering column and slide the cover downwards. Next, move the steering column to remove the upper cover as well. You will now see the ignition lock; carefully remove the small antenna that reads the key code (a small black plastic ring), insert the metal key into the cylinder, and after locating the release pin of the ignition lock, press it with a screwdriver while simultaneously turning the key and pulling the starter cylinder out of its housing.
