How to Change the Key Battery on a VW Transporter

Let’s see how to replace the battery in the Volkswagen Transporter key. Take your remote and press the release button of the metal key. Once the metal key pops out, use a screwdriver to pry between the plastics of the cover (in the space where the metal key fits). Pry until the plastics of the key separate into two. Separate one half of the key again, and extract the worn battery with a small screwdriver. Insert a new battery into the remote key, then reassemble all the key pieces.
