How to Remove the Glass Lens from a Car Headlamp

Before you can carry out the procedure I will describe, you must have already removed the headlamp from the car. Start by heating the silicone sealing the glass with a heat gun designed for bodywork. Once done, gradually remove the silicone using a flat-head screwdriver. After this step, heat the entire perimeter of the headlamp to remove any remaining silicone. Then, insert the flat-head screwdriver into the gap between the glass and the headlamp itself, and pry along the entire perimeter of the glass. Once this step is complete, you will have successfully removed the glass from the headlamp.
