How to Install a Number Plate Reverse Camera on Any Vehicle

Today, we will install a number plate reverse camera, which can be fitted to any vehicle. First, go to the back of the car and remove the number plate holder. Once removed, adapt the new one, including the reverse camera. Position the camera in the centre, under the car's logo, and check if the holes of the number plate holder align with those of the car; if not, they will need to be filed or new holes made. Additionally, a hole will need to be made in the bodywork at the camera height to pass the cables through. Once the hole is made, it is advisable to apply anti-rust treatment and a rubber grommet to prevent rust formation and water ingress. Once the number plate holder is securely attached to the car and the cables have been routed, open the boot and you will need to remove the boot panel and the one near the rear light. Then, making your way to the light, connect the negative and positive from the camera to the reverse light bulb's power cable. Now, to connect the video cable, using an electrician's probe if possible, pass it through the roof, down the A-pillar, and then connect the video cable to your screen. Refit any panels and ensure the reverse camera works; when you start the car and engage reverse, the camera should activate.
