Before applying the new gasket to the intake manifold, ensure that both surfaces, that of the manifold and that of the cylinder head, are perfectly clean, free from dirt or deposits. Then, apply the gasket to the intake manifold, ensuring that the rings fit perfectly into their respective grooves on the filter; position the manifold onto the cylinder head and tighten the fixing nuts using a properly set torque wrench and a cross-locking sequence to ensure the gasket adheres perfectly.
