How to Remove Diesel Engine Injectors

Removing diesel engine injectors is not always advisable. It is a delicate job. However, if it is absolutely necessary, here is a simple method to do it without special tools. A week before extraction, spray them generously with WD-40, then after two days spray a bit more, and on the seventh day, extract them. First, free the injectors; in some cars, the injectors must be removed in pairs, as shown in the video. Remove the electrical connectors, spray more WD-40 at the base of the injector, and carefully remove the hex nut with a 17 mm spanner; wipe as you go because you do not want dirt to enter the injectors. When extracting them, hold them by the metal part, rotating them slightly. Extract and clean them - first remove the o-ring - and now you must also clean the ducts (without scratching anything!). When refitting them, remember the orientation. Reconnect the electrical plugs after seating them properly. Refit the hydraulic ducts. Tighten everything in one go. Once everything is back in place, you can do a test. If everything is fine, the car will no longer smoke. By doing this, the injector will not 'stick'.
