First, purchase a battery with the same amperage as the one currently fitted in your car; you will need a 13 mm spanner with an extension and a 10 mm spanner to remove the terminals. Start by disconnecting the negative terminal to avoid short circuits and damage to the car's electrical system. Once the negative terminal is removed, proceed to disconnect the positive terminal as well. Using the 13 mm spanner, unscrew the bolt at the base of the battery that keeps it in place. At this point, you can extract the battery from its housing and replace it with the new one.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
