The total cost is under £20, especially since you likely already have some of these items at home. Now, let’s proceed. First, wash the headlights thoroughly with a degreasing detergent, dry them perfectly, and apply masking tape along the edges. Wet some 600 grit sandpaper and sand in a horizontal motion. Rinse with water and then dry well. Repeat with 800 grit sandpaper, sanding in a vertical motion. Do it again with 1200 grit sandpaper, this time using a rotary motion; always rinse, dry, and now continue with 2000 grit sandpaper, again with a rotary motion. If desired, you can repeat the process with 3000 grit sandpaper. Now apply the headlight polish in a rotary motion. Remove the polish with cotton wool, for at least 4 to 5 times, until you achieve the desired effect. Wash and dry thoroughly with degreaser. Then shape the protective film, trimming any excess with a craft knife.
