How to Open Your Car Without Keys in an Emergency

It can happen that you lock your car with the keys inside: a frustrating situation, but you can remedy it with a bit of skill. First, protect the upper and side frame of the door with masking tape or similar; then obtain some plastic or wooden wedges, avoiding metal ones to prevent damage to the bodywork or seals. Insert two wedges into the door frame, on opposite sides, and work to pry the door open enough to pass in a wire with a hook at the end. Now, with patience, hook the door's release lever with your hook and manage to open the door.
