How to Reset the Inertia Switch on an Alfa Romeo

In this video, you will see the procedure to reset the inertia switch in case of an accident or accidental activation. This switch is designed to cut off the electrical supply in the event of an impact, but it can be accidentally activated when vacuuming in the footwell or if jolted violently while parking. Alfa Romeos have two switches that operate in sync; the first switch is located in the passenger footwell, just beneath the front of the passenger seat; it is easily visible if you slide back the seat. Reset it by pressing firmly on the top of the round rubber switch that protrudes through the carpet. The car will turn off, and a message will appear on the display. You will need to press down again to reset it. Then, you must press the release switch located on the battery in the engine bay; it is a red button with a small indicator window that turns red when activated. At this point, the message will disappear from the display, and the vehicle will start again.
