It may seem strange, but the most common reason why the halogen bulbs in our cars burn out is overvoltage. A normal H7 bulb is designed to last 550 hours. With a defined "normal" voltage of 12.5 volts, a 5% overvoltage already cuts its lifespan in half. This can easily happen if additional or non-original components are installed in our car. On the other hand, if it is subjected to even just a 5% undervoltage, its lifespan doubles. Another enemy of bulbs is shocks, such as forcefully closing the trunk, as the filament can be affected. Of course, this does not happen with xenon bulbs, as they do not have a filament.

How do you replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS?

In order to replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS it is necessary to loosen the bolts that secure the casing positioned on the left side of the bike, so that its cover can be removed. Once this has been removed, you will be able to access the components below, including the battery. The latter must be removed from its housing by disconnecting the power cables and unscrewing the appropriate fixing bolts. In this way it will be possible to insert a new battery, properly fixing it and connecting it to the relative cables, covering everything with the casing.
