Reasons Why Car Bulbs Burn Out

It may seem strange, but the most common reason for halogen bulbs in our vehicles burning out is overvoltage. A standard H7 bulb is designed to last 550 hours. Given a 'normal' voltage of 12.5 volts, a 5% overvoltage halves its life. This can easily happen if non-original or additional components are fitted to our vehicle. Conversely, if subjected to undervoltage of just 5%, its lifespan doubles. Another enemy of bulbs is shock, such as slamming the boot shut, as the filament can be affected. Of course, this does not happen with xenon bulbs, as they do not have a filament.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y

To open the bonnet on this vehicle, follow these simple instructions: first, open the driver's door and locate the lever positioned just below the dashboard, marked with an image of the vehicle with the bonnet open.
