In this video, you will learn how to calibrate the FCA DCT automatic gearbox. This operation should be performed in areas with little traffic. The reasons for needing such an operation may include clutch wear or changes in the physical properties of the oil. What are the symptoms of a gearbox that requires recalibration? First, there may be a jerking sensation during gear changes; or when you slow down and then accelerate again, the vehicle hesitates instead of moving off immediately. Additionally, the kickdown may not be detected. True calibration is performed only in a workshop. This is more of an adjustment but can be functional. Here's how to do it: start the car, shift the selector to "D", and do this (as it is a dual clutch) for both even and odd gears, making ramps so that the clutch closes (3,000/3,500 RPM) and then simulating descents so that it opens (around 1,500 RPM). Work on the 2nd and 3rd gears with the sequential mode.
